Feels like the Leafs are playing with house money at this point. This core's obituary was already written after Game 4. All the pressure is on the Bruins to avoid another 3-1 collapse.

They do but because Tim Thomas saved their ass one time it all gets washed away for some reason.

Let's remind a few folks about the great Bruins:

Choke against Philly. Up 3-0 in the series and 3-0 in Game 7. Lost it anyways.

Against Chicago late in the game. Up 2-1 and about to win and force a Game 7. 2 U's 2 K's two goals in 17 seconds. Didn't even get to OT.

St Louis at home Game 7. Got embarrassed.

Best season in NHL history. Up 3-1 and well they lost.

So many chokes for a team that will have 6 hall of Famers during that time frame: Thomas, Rask, Bergeron, Chara, Marchand and Pastrnak.
Obviously it's hard to consider a chokejob what you've just been doing for 60 years: lose. Expectations tend to be very low.

As shitty as the Leafs played for most of Saturday, they didn’t roll over tonight. They showed a lot of fight.

Live to see another day. That building better be jumping Thursday.

You type stuff like you've been a winning franchise since 1967. It's like reading Bizarro Superman.

what is it...like zero Cups outside of the 06 era. Something to be cocky about for sure.
It's hard for a team to choke when they can't even make the goddamn playoffs to begin with, much less get by the first round. All of this flexing after 1 win is pathetic. Hopefully the hockey Gods make them pay for their smugness.

Edmonton is the team whose going to eliminate Toronto in this year's playoffs. Not Boston.

Aside from the goal and Knies staring down Pastrnak, the best moment was Marchand getting hit by a ref.

Both options look terrible on him:

1) He dove thinking a Leaf hit him and that's just embarrassing.
2) he knew it was the linesman who was going like 3 km/h and got bodied.

Honest question:

Are Boston Bruins fans not all out ashamed of Marchand flopping all over the ice like LeBron James?

Charlie Coyle has started emulating him and is often seen taking swan dives as well.

It's damn right pathetic.

And the absolute meltdown he had when he was called for the 1st - yes Marchand, the perennial Lady Byng player apparently - penalty was brain-melting.
