Other than Game 4, the Habs were not better than the Pens. They won’t be better than the Flyers either, but the Flyers need to capitalize on that fact unlike the Pens.

Also, Ghost has to get the nod for this one right? The Habs played a physical, tight forechecking game against the Pens. Getting the puck moved out of the zone quickly is imperative.

AV has this team focused one game at a time. I'm not too concerned about them being flat in game 1. We were by far the most prepared round robin team. I don't think intensity will be an issue. It may be close for a period or two but I expect this game to go like our other 3. Slowly wear down the oppenent in periods 1 + 2 then bury them in the 3rd.

Since I’m so pessimistic, Hagg will definitely be in because Ghost going supernova last game and still not earning a starting spot will show there was not a real competition.

But because I’m so optimistic, we just might get the rematch we’ve all been waiting for!

Okay with Jake good to go, what do we think about lines?

Giroux - Couturier - Voracek
Laughton - Hayes - Konecny
Farabee - Grant - NAK
JVR - Thompson - Pitlick

???

Or do they swap out JVR for Bunnaman again?

Being "realistic" and not putting Frost in my lineup or breaking up the 2nd line, I would go:

Giroux - Couturier - Farabee
Laughton - Hayes - Konecny
JVR - Grant - Voracek
NAK/Pitlick - Thompson - Pitlick/NAK

Giroux Coots dont need Voracek to succeed and hopefully JVR and Voracek can drag Grant to respectability.

I can't necessarily offer a better realistic scenario, but I feel like JVR is wasted on the 4th line.

Like him or not, he had 19g, 21a, 40pts in 66 games this year.

Personally, I'd go

G/C/Farabee
Laughton/Hayes/TK
JVR/Grant/Voracek
NAK/Thompson/Pitlick

But maybe that's too much shuffling.

I like the look of that actually.

Replace Grant with Frost and Thompson with Grant and woah, baby.

I'm guessing:

Laughton - Hayes - Konecny
JVR - Grant - NAK
Farabee - Thompson - Pitlick

However there are some tough decisions there.

Hope Gost is in. He looked really good and ready to go.
