New commissioner has worked for the league since 2005, most recently as COO. Graduated Seton Hall 2006 with Bachelors in business/sports management and got an MBA from Rutgers in 2010. Played hockey at Seton Hall.

Chatted with him briefly at the All-Star Game, as he was in charge of making sure the pucks got collected for MeiGray. Seemed like a very good, easy to get along with, detail-oriented person.

Guess I'm not going to try to dredge up the radio broadcast (which I heard in blog form a couple weeks ago) from Boise where the hosts of "the pretty-much only local sports radio show in Boise" interviewed the new commissioner. Basically boilerplate answers to key questions about the ECHL's interests in more western teams...

...although, IIRC, the hosts were trying to pin down a more appropriate definition of "west" than the commissioner sought to give (Boise is only a state away from the Pacific, while there are Texas and other Central Plains teams in the Mountain Division).
