The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins did the unthinkable against the Providence Bruins and came back from a 3-0 hole to win the series in Game 7 4-3 thanks to a 5-0 win and a shutout from Thiessen. Early in the series Zatkoff has been beaten easily by the Bruins scorers and was a weak link for the Penguins. In came Thiessen who steadied the ship and allowed the Penguins to take momentum and edge through. The Syracuse Crunch on the other hand sailed through in 4 straight games and are yet to lose a game this year in the play-offs. They're the team to beat in my opinion and I think this could be a hard series for WBS.

Syracuse won the regular season battle 5 games to 3.
Syracuse was 3-1 @ WBS
The teams split the games @ Syracuse 2-2

The last two games of the season series were Syracuse shutouts.

Syracuse goaltender Cedrick Desjardins only faced WBS one game in a Syracuse uniform, a 1-0 shutout.

Brad Theissen only played in 2 of the 8 matchups, giving up 6 goals on 70 shots. Zatkoff appeared in the other 6 games.

Should be an interesting series of two hot teams that have familiarity with each other.
