Looking to move one of Connelly or Pominville and picks for top line right winger. Everyone except Miller, Ennis, Myers and Roy are available including all draft picks. Would like to acquire a high second round pick also.

To FLA
Filatov, Russell, CBJ 4th

To CBJ
Booth, MTL 2nd, WAS 3rd

Columbus feels that Filatov is going nowhere in a hurry, and perhaps a change of scenery would be best. We hope that putting David Booth on the same line as Rick Nash could really open things up for both players. Adding picks in what we consider a deep draft is something we wanted to do from the beginning.

With this move, Columbus is in search of adding a defenseman to replace Russell, and still searching for that number one center, and a legitimate 1 at that. First round pick is off limits, but with an additional 2 and 3, perhaps a player and a couple of picks can be moved to acquire what we need. The addition of Booth also frees up Huselius or Voracek for a move as well. Columbus wants to build for the future, but we are determined to compete now to keep the franchise going.

To CBJ:
Brian Rafalski

To DET
Anton Stralman, CBJ 2nd

Realistically, the CBJ needed a puck mover and a point producer. Not getting as much time in Detroit, Rafalski seemed like a legitimate answer to the question, even if he has turning 38 this season. The Jackets jettison what turned out to be a major disappointment most of the year in Anton Stralman, and a 2nd pick. Having Rafalski along to tutor some of the younger dmen will be an added bonus.

CBJ are still seeking a possible center, including moving up in the draft.

Columbus has another deal with Colorado possibly about to announce.

CBJ currently also seeking a Top 9 forward, to go with the aforementioned possible moving up in the draft.
