So a very early season thought exercise: what is one thing so far that you were right about going into the season and what is something you were (so far) wrong about?

Wrong for me is easy - I looked at the injuries and age on the Bruins and figured they would be troubled until getting McAvoy and Marchand back, regardless of signing an aged Krejci and to be honest, forgetting that Pastrnak is in a contract season. They look excellent so far in limited viewing, chugging out to the top of the division and conference in the east thus far.

Right? Also easy would be the Sens being good to start the year. For Buffalo? Quinn and Peterka both make the team out of camp isn't much of a win to hang my hat on it seems. :biglaugh:

So what are yours thus far?

Shoulda got one game in
Wrong: In the Tim Horton’s hockey challenge, any time I pick someone to score against the Sabres, they don’t. I’d say I’d like that trend to continue tonight, but I wasn’t given any options for Kraken players. So if they lose tonight, blame Tim Horton’s.

Right: Pittsburgh doesn’t look finished, because the team is healthy. And it appears to be correct to not really cheer against Vegas this season

Wrong:

1. Quinn would be better off the jump
2. Comrie wouldn't be this hot
3. Thompson would have more TSA
4. Boston would fade
5. Pittsburgh would fade
6. Detroit would be a step behind Ottawa and Buffalo

Right:
1. Ottawa very much improved
2. Vegas would bounce back
3. Tuch will shoot 40%+ for the season

Right for me is don't count out the Bruins.

Wrong is I thought the Senators would stink this year despite big additions.

Correct - Ottawa is pretty good. Really like Pinto
Unfortunately, Skinner is having a (early) hangover season
Mitts breaking out
Didn't think Comrie would be this solid but I'll take the W

Incorrecto - same with Boston/Pitt
My fantasy football team
Thought Quinn would be warmer out of the gate
Really thought Vegas would continue to regress
Everything my fiance is thinking
