You know there are no actual nominations right? And the "finalists" are not really finalists, they're just the top 3 vote getters.

When people say "nominated" I assume they mean "finalist".

I don't think he's had the two way game to warrant a Norris win. That's not me saying he's been bad, but he's not been number 1D in the league good in his own zone.

If he ends up with 70-80 points, and the other high scoring D cool off, then I could see him making some noise in the voting. He's going to have a hard time winning due to the Sens probably not making the playoffs.

typically yes. it didn't seem to work in the context of the post I replied to though. "wo'nt get a single 1st place vote, IF he's nominated".

yeah, despite his gaudy point totals so far he has 3 5v5 primary points. 6 5v5 secondary assists and a secondary assist rate that would on its own suggest a top-6 forward level of offense if that was a total points rate. chabot is a good puck mover so should have well above average 2ndary assist rates among dmen, but over 2 secondary assists per 60 is nowhere near sustainable.

I've only seen him play twice this year but TB fans are raving about McDonagh.

I don't think he's the type of Dman who'll win it, especially behind Hedman, but I'd love to see him get consideration.

If he gets 60 points and we make the playoffs they'll give it to him. He has the reputation.

Hes been top 10 like 5 years in a row and I think would have won without injuries

If anything he will have an easier time than anyone else to win it

Even though he probably hasn’t been Norris good, Oscar Klefbom has been amazing. 6 points in 13 games, +8 and averaging just under 26 minutes a game. He’s also been very good by the eye test.

I’m a big fan of Morgs, had him as a top 20 dman before the season and he might move into my top 10 by years end. I also have him in a dynasty league and he’s carrying my team to 2nd place so far haha
