The last "early afternoon" game I remember was 2 seasons ago against the Captials in Washington.. we won 2-1 or 3-1 I believe.

Found it in a GDT from the Philly game in December. According to Mark Schleig, dating back to 2016-2017, we were 13-1-1 in pre-5 pm games. We then won the next two games (Philly and NJ) back-to-back so we were at least 15-1-1 dating back to 2016-17 as of December in afternoon games. Don’t know if we’ve played any since the game at NJ.

I’m presuming that 15-1-1 is only accounting for regular season and game 5 last year is not included in that total, but even though we lost it, game 5 might’ve been our best game of the series.

I think there’s actually something to that stat, since it involves routine, body clocks, etc. The Thursday evening game record this year was I think just more coincidence. But I think (maybe wishful thinking) we actually do play better in the afternoon (or, we play about the same, but our opponents have some, um... difficulties ).
