For me, its been relatively hard to project points because of the 56 game season. sometimes we get really high scoring during a short season or it could also be the opposite. I prefer to rank a player based on his peers etc

For example last season the top centremen ranked between 10 and 20 based on points were

10. Aho 66p
Pettersson 66p
Stamkos 66p
Point 64p
Barkov 62p
Kopitar 62p
Nuge 61p
ROR 61p
Tavares 60p
Barzal 60p
20. Toews 60p

just for reference sake. ranked at 30 was Claude Giroux with 53p

Last season was obvs a tire fire especially because of injuries and etc etc

So where would you rank Larkin this year for the 56 game season based on points for only centreman?

Depending on health 46-50 points. Unfortunately for him only his line has to be respected so that line will face all the toughest assignments.

I also think a big wild card for Larkin is the health of Mantha. I have to imagine if Mantha plays all 56 games and continues to play in his wing, it will play a major factor in regards to Larkins total points. Mantha misses 25 games, it’s going to hurt. I picked 16th-20th.

I am not drinking as much Larkin juice as most here. I’m going to guess he scores at a 55 or 60 point pace. Just outside the top 30 for centers.

NHL.com says last 3 years he's finished 28th,23rd,30th from most recent to least

25th sounds pretty reasonable to me

He has the ability to go point per game but it depends on the power play.

Also teams know that if you stop Larkin and Mantha you are probably getting a shutout, so it's going to be an uphill battle all season for that line.

Plus we still have the worst group of defenseman in the league so good luck getting the puck in stride.

Look at Ott, they're clearly worse, even with Chabot. Same for NJ, even with a resigned Vatanen. We're marginally better than both imo.

This greatly depends on manthas health. 25ish

I think with Zadina full time this year, Manthas health is a little less important and he should help the PP as well. Obviously a healthy Mantha really helps but its not as important this year as it was last.

I also think the D will be better this year obviously which is going to help too. I would be on 50 points if had to guess

Pretty much what I'd expect from these poll questions.
