The Staals, Mike Dalhuisen ( NYI prospect ), Calvin De Haan, James Van Riemsdyk and pretty much any player who has played in the NHL with the beginning " Van" in their last name. ;)

Wouldn't some of these guys be of Belgian descent rather than Dutch?

I believe Vanbiesbrouck is of Belgian descent.

John Wensink is also of Dutch descent, the former enforcer of the Bruins.

The Dutch hockey fans are all hoping for Mike Dalhuisen to reach the NHL. He was actually born in the Netherlands. When he was eleven years old, his family decided to move to Canada for his hockey career. After years in USHL and NCAA, he now has a contract with NY Islanders. Hopefully he can do well this year with Bridgeport.

His brother played for the Netherlands

Yes Bill Wensink, who played his entire career in the Dutch league.

We also had Ed Beers who played 5 seasons for Calgary and 1 for St. Louis. Apparently he was born in the Netherlands, i never knew this until this topic inspired my search.

I always thought Ed Kea was the only player who was actually born in the Netherlands and reached the NHL.
