Seeing it discussed around a few different threads so figured having one of its own might be useful

Thoughts? Looks borderline to me with Backlunds head down, but there's definitely head contact and Dumba leaving his feet isn't a good look.

You can actually pinpoint the frame where Dumba takes off. That was not a clean hit.

Yeah that's the biggest tell for me. Sure Backlunds head was down but Dumba leaving his feet like that along with the head contact makes it bad

Not the most egregious case, but Dumba definitely takes off with one foot prior to the hit and goes high on Backlund. Totally unnecessary with so little time in the game left too.

Exactly. There's nothing more to add.

Looks fine in real time but don’t have slide by slide to see if he jumped.

I don’t see what everyone’s talking about. I see Dumba making contact with his shoulder and then leaving the ice as a result of the collision. hit looks clean to me. Regardless, really disrespectful by Dumba.

Also Gio had a hit that was blatantly a dangerous knee to knee. Where is the thread for that? Koivu got injured on the play.

Don't mind the hit much but the jump and punch from behind has to be a suspension

clean hit. Minnesota played a hell of a game if they only allowed the Flames to 2 goals.

Leaves his feet before hitting him and makes significant head contact causing injury. I have no problem with him going for the hit but he needs to do it within the rules.

    2 games IMO

What a turtling wuss:laugh: The hit was borderline but the turtle should be suspension worthy.

He definitely left his feet before making contact. Could see him getting a game or two.

I would need to see a better angle but it definitely looks predatory from that angle
