The idea is that the center we acquire is a top 6 center. Acquiring a 3C with some extra goodies we don't need isn't what we need.

The base has to be adequate before we start talking about what the + is.

Well Weber is nearing the end. Petry is a mid 30's player about to head to free agency.

Weber was fantastic this season. So was Petry. Right D isn’t a need. Montreal has a gem in Suzuki. They aren’t trading him for a position that’s currently a strength. Look elsewhere

There’s no way the Habs ever entertain Suzuki for anyone. Danault? Yeah. Danault for Dumba is something I would entertain. Not Domi, not Suzuki. I wouldn’t trade KK just yet either.
