With disappointment over the team's lackluster start festering, the Ducks' front office would like to make it known to the league that we're open for business.
First and foremost on the "available" list are John Madden and Mike Modano. I never expected to have Modano's services to begin with this season, so in many ways he's become superfluous on my roster. Both players certainly have their uses, and both are in the final year of their contracts.
Next on the list is Barret Jackman. While Jackman is a quality asset that could play in pretty much anyone's top 4, the emergence of Jack Johnson this year and P.K. Subban next year has made him, to some degree, excess baggage. If Jackman is still available once we get past the UFA penalty date, it will probably be a toss-up for me on whether to deal Jackman or Paul Martin.
Lastly, if my losing ways continue, I have it in mind to put
Jason Pominville up for grabs. He might not be an ideal first-line winger, but his two-way game and offensive capabilities make him a prototype second-line RW.
