Huh, well how bout that
well we just found a partner for Fowler.
Why? Would make more sense if he was RH
is he not? pretty sure he played on the right side with Fowler for awhile last season.
Nope he's a lefty.
Yeah but he did play wirh Fowler. With reasonable results. At 750k he provides insurance in case no one we have meets expectations for the top 4.
I actually wanted him back to replace Holzer, but... not both of them
Oh absolutely, and I'm on record saying it doesn't matter a whole lot. Especially in a case like this where he's done it on this team and did well enough.
Bob loves his former first rounders. This is the Nick Boynton/Steve Eminger signing all over again, except MDZ is marginally better than they were
Looks like really want to give Larsson or Guhle a shot in the top 4.
And MUCH cheaper on a MUCH higher cap.
I have still yet to see the potential with Larsson. He’s a quiet, competent D-man but he’s, to me, a 5-6 at best.
He did as I recall, and I thought he looked serviceable there. He's definitely an inexpensive safety valve if the kids aren't quite up to it.
Rolling with a soft garbage defense again this idiot never learns. It's sad how Murray is given free reign all the while with horrible results. Carlyle was not the problem
Solid signing. Decent 5-6.
Better this than something really stupid like trading for JMFJ.
Dirk, this is a retool year. It doesn’t matter a whole lot who is added. Unless we were getting multiple stars this wasn’t going to be the year. Save your breath for when the kids are ready to compete in 2 years or so
The main thing was to not add more bad contracts and let people develop at their own rate without roadblocks in the way.
Everything Bob has done this offseason indicates transition to a new era. Kesler/Perry dealt with, dumpster dives, talking about the need for young guys to step in, etc.
It was past time they go in this direction too. If anything, he took too long to do this
Now THAT'S comedy.
Hoping this is for San Diego more than anything.
Competent veteran defender at a negligible cap hit. I'm fine with this. Just surprised it didn't happen sooner. Guessing this is insurance in case a youngster needs more AHL time.
Looks like we just got another 6th round pick at the deadline
If anyone is curious, here are MDZ's numbers with us after RC got fired:
6GP 0G 2A +3 and he averaged about 19 minutes of ice time.
Bob is copying the cup winning Blues by getting Del Zotto ! He was instrumental in the Blues cup winning team ! He kept the bench/press box warm better than anyone else in the league and he read 'The Godfather' to his teammates.
Solid. These prove it contracts are always good.
