My understand of the plus minus is as follows:
On the ice for a goal: goal thing

On the ice for a goal against: bad thing.

Or at least this is that I choose to believe. Keep it simple.

Number 1 team in scoring 5v5 with 3 total losses.

They don't see it that way DG... The big personalities on these boards are largely " right brained " and see the ice as a controlled environment much like a laboratory that they feel more accustomed too. When you introduce a creative element outside their comfort zone, fear, doubt and anger will follow.

Take for example your own Etem arguments. Now, according to the "right brainer's" so called eye tests, Etem should be playing in the minors. Its our job to keep fighting the good fight DG.

The current version of Fowler at $4M is a great deal for us.

For example, Slava Voynov makes more than Fowler, and he has sucked ass this year, and plays way easier minutes than Cam (Doughty draws all the hard matchups).

Voynov is not a better player than Fowler. He gets paid more because he scored more against easier opposition last year. That's the only reason. He's not as good as he was in the playoffs last year. Ask Kings fans about him Voynov right now...he's been horrible. We're lucky to have Fowler at only $4M for the next 4 years.

What's funny about this comparison is that everyone thought the Voynov contract was a steal...if Voynov is a steal, then how can Fowler's contract even come close to being considered "bad"

Do you understand the hypocrisy of saying this, while making arguments about Fowler's salary and his +/-?

That's why I still like the bridge contract. Not for every player, but for some. Voynov needed to show, for a longer period of time, what kind of player he actually was.

"Right brained" is creative, "Left brained" is the logical side.

The good fight is constantly *****ing about a player who does have talent and is one of our key players and arguing that Emerson Etem is Christ compared to our other wingers? Even the young ones? Yeah. Keep fighting the "good" fight dude. We're all out to get you...the good guy...cause we don't see eye to eye. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
