I don't believe so. Having only played 10 games a year ago and none this past season, I'd be surprised if he isn't at least a couple NCAA seasons of development away from being pro ready.
:( darn. A lot of us were hoping for him to recover and return after he was cancer free but then when covid19 hit i think that set him back another year cause his immune system from chemo made him high risk with covid19.
Perhaps he'll become one of those College UFAs that signs with a team in a few years.

What's the situation with Limoges? Curious as to why we haven't signed him yet.

Guess McLaughlin is going back to school for his senior year.

I actually bought THN's 2021 Future Watch magazine. Here's some Ducks stuff on there with respect to rankings. (If someone already brought this up, then my bad.)

Top 100 Prospects in the NHL
1. C Zegras
3. D Drysdale
52. RW Perreault

Wow. They're high on Perreault like I am! I'm just a little bit perturbed that Dostal wasn't even ranked in the top-100. (More on that later.)

I'm surprised to see Tracey ranked that high. THN must like his potential a lot still, even above Dostal. Looking at the FW 2020 ranking (only shared the top-5), Tracey leapfrogged Dostal?! Grrrr... The write-up on Dostal is very telling:

After he went 10-1-0 with a 1.64 GAA and .941 SP with Ilves in Sweden [sic] in the fall, it was time for the Ducks to take an up-close look. Dostal doesn't fit the mold of the modern NHL goalie, standing a couple of inches shorter than most. But he emerged as the Gulls' No.1, ahead of AHL vets Anthony Stolarz and Jeff Glass. Dostal is technically sound and benefits from the mentoring of Sudarshan Maharaj, the Ducks' goalie whisperer. Dostal hasn't disappointed in his first extended North American action.

wow... THN doesn't know which country Dostal plays in, mocks his height, and then credits a Ducks' goalie coach when Dostal was good before being drafted by the Ducks. They don't believe Dostal's rise is due to his talent and he gets docked for his height.

It's gonna be an interesting off-season for our annual HF prospect ranking with talks of trades, highlighting our defensive unit as draft capital.

Go play for USA.
I think it takes two years for IIHF to switch the nation you play for so you can’t do it Willy nilly, I wonder if he switched a while ago and may qualify to play for the US this year or if it won’t be for a while and he won’t ever get a WJC showing

I don't believe he ever played for Canada in an IIHF sanctioned event. Assuming he has U.S. citizenship he should be eligible to play for the U.S. at the next WJCs.

It seems like he picked Canada but they didn't share his affinity. Have to believe if we wanted to play for the US he would have been invited to camp.

Perrault was invited by Canada to last year's camp (2020) to prep for the WJC-20: link

19 year- old, Carolina Hurricanes prospect Jamieson Rees will attend this annual camp for the second time, determiend to crack the National Team squad this time around. 18-year old, NHL draft eligible forward Jacob Perreault will get his first taste at the u20 level.
