Once upon a time (a decade ago) I wanted to trade Robert "Magic Man Jr." Nilsson for him who at the time was an overhyped soft playmaker who put up 41pts. Always liked his crazy physical game but he's done.

About time. I respect guys who are willing to fill that role but Boll just doesn't bring anything to the table. Not skilled or quick enough to play a regular shift and doesn't force any deterrence as an enforcer. Boll should have been waived last year at the deadline instead of Cramarossa, who at least brings some energy.

Already posted in the "Waiver Thread" before I saw that he had his own thread:

Boll was a 4th round choice in 2005.

He has scored 28 goals in 577 NHL games.

If he clears waivers and reports to the AHL, it would be his first time ever in the minors !!!

Has made $13M so far in his career.

Not bad for a very "niche" player."

So what? When he played for the Jackets I hated it, have him on any line and the line is an instant liability. Dude is a terrible hockey player and is not good enough to be in the show. He doesn’t deserve anything for being a “class act” when he barely deserves an NHL contract.
