But team officials expect that to pick up post-All-Star break, which starts tonight for the Ducks when Pacific Division rival San Jose comes to town.
The organization has had better second-half ticket sales in every year of its existence, according to a team spokesman Alex Gilchrist.
Tim Ryan, team executive vice president and CEO of Honda Center, said that under Henry and Susan Samueli’s ownership, those increases have been from five to 20 percent every year the team has been in postseason contention and the early returns indicate that will hold form.

This is thread-worthy? Most pro-teams in non-traditional hockey markets experience a leap in ticket sales after the New Year (fewer distractions, no football, etc.).

The Ducks' play has regressed every season since their Cup run (until this one), and they've seen a bit of an exodus of some cornerstone members of the cup run. It can't be terribly surprising that they'd see a dip in attendance. A playoff appearance will help, certainly.

The Ducks always have had a slow first half of the season and rebound in the second half. Not really news.
