He’s fine. He needs to gain some weight/muscle and work on a few aspects of his game.

No thanks on the deal. No want for Drouin.

Still upset we didnt want to give up Matheson, Borgstrom, Tippett, 1st and a 2nd for Patches?

Hows he doing? 1 goal in 5 games for VGK?

As for OP, we cant afford the cap increase without money going the other way and we have not given up on Borgstrom. No from me dawg

Absolutely no interest in trading Drouin for Borgstrom.

No not upset at all. For the record, i would have been happy with Pacioretty for Borgstrom straight up. But i think we actually got a better return than that so i'm pretty ok with the situation. My post was more directed at the Panthers that were saying he was easily nhl ready, would be the 3rd line center starting this year and would be top 6 center if it wasn't for Trochek and Barkov.

Don't think Florida would do it. Borgstrom has a high ceiling, is still young, and plays center for real.

Eh I think both teams decline. Both guys are still trying to find themselves and both organisations have already put assets towards making these guys into good players... trading them is kind of like a wash since theirs so much unpredictability in both guys. Completely understand why both sides would say no.

Drouin too, they are only 2 years appart. 23 for Drouin and 21 for Borgstrom. Only thing is Drouin's not a center. But Florida already has an elite 1-2 combo centers in Trotcheck and Barkov, dont think they need a center anymore then they need a winger... they need a good young goalie or defenseman

Fla doesn't need the top 6 help as they are stacked and MTL doesn't need to be trading a proven asset for a prospect.

The chances of Borg surpassing Drouin as a player are low as of this point as well. Just doesn't make much sense from either side.

I know Drouin is overrated and his performance is underwhelming.

I don't think Florida trades young talent for something they already have.

Florida declines. Borg just started his first pro year with 3 points in his first game. His ceiling is massive. I predict he will be better by next year or the year afted at the latest.

First game in the AHL: 1 goal, 2 assists.

This was one of the assists:

uhhh...we'll keep the overrated guy, happily, thanks.

Drouin is garbage. I’ll take the risk with Borgstrom.
