I might be proven wrong, but I think this is more about increasing the Senators chances at winning than helping O'Connor get starts.

4 games in 7 days with a back to back coming up. I will be very surprised if Driedger doesn't start in Ottawa Sunday night against Columbus. Driedger has been hot this month and is likely sharper than O'Connor who has been up here sitting on the bench. If they have to choose one to start, my guess is they choose Driedger.

I heard he could be out for another 2 months. Makes sense to swap AHL tenders, O'Connor needs some game action.
