Hopefully for all the games. He's grown remarkably comfortable with Scheifele and Wheeler in such a short time. I would like to see Cheveldayoff re-sign him.

Needs to be re-signed. At this point, I like him more than Frolik.
Although, I would prefer to re-sign both at reasonable contracts.

Mr. Contract Year

In all seriousness, he is a good player who desperately needed a change of scenery, but there is next to no chance he plays at this level for any significant amount of time next season. Still, he is a good player who can be dynamite when he wants to be (aka contract years)

He is a good player who was playing on a disaster of a team. 45-50 point F on a playoff team I think

Stafford has been a pleasant surprise for me since the trade.

Just a really smart player who scores big goals.

Stafford is just really smart. I think if Winnipeg keeps him and lets him play an important role, he could toss out 2-3 50 point seasons with them with solid defensive play. Love how Winnipeg is making sure to build a team of players who are solid in every zone.

I've been saying this for a few years now. Smart player, pretty physical, good defensively and can score in s streaky way. I'd like to bring him back to Buffalo next year but that isnt likely.

Always liked Stafford. He is a proven and perennial 20g 45/50p top 6 winger. He can play the PK and while he isn't a banger he can use his body effectively. I would not mind the Sabres to re-sign him in the off season to a 4/18 mil type deal. The only thing I get frustrated about with him is that he had the potential to be so much more then what he is. He showed it in his 31 goal in 62 game season, where he scored at a 41 goal pace. Drew is a player who should be putting up 30 goals and 65 points a season, not 20-30-50.

He isn't physical at all but he's certainly smart and good defensively. He plays a low risk game all around.

As a Sabres fan, I've seen this before. He has had big contract years in the past. I hope he keeps it up past this year though.
