There are two extreme scenarios:
1. Lindholm has a 25+ goals and 70+ point season and overtakes both Rask and Staal as the numero uno center, oh and Aho also overtakes both Rask and Staal as a center, only Lindholm is the undisputed 1C.
2. Lindholm fails to produce even 25 points by trade deadline and gets healthy scratched or demoted to 4th line now and then throughout the season. His trust and bound with the team and especially Peters is getting worse every minute and he gives up on the team.

What do you think happens in both scenarios (Include next contract, team roster going forward (Since in scenario 1, you'd expect some players to be traded if Rask has to end up as your 4C, and in scenario 2 Lindholm may not even be qualified or traded at the deadline).

I don't think either scenario is realistic, but I definitely think he will get closer to the first than the second. I see him getting very close to 20 goals and 60 points. If he does that, he'll get a 6 year $6M+ contract.

It's very hard to imagine Lindholm having a 25-45-70 year playing center. If that happened, it would be like we had a different player than the real life Lindholm.

But in any scenario where we have Jordan plus two other strong Cs, whether that's Lindholm or Aho or TT or whoever else, I'd think Rask would be the guy getting shopped.

Scratch Ryan and put Rask on that line center

Offseason needs to be over soon

I don't think even the wildest scouting reports from his draft year ever had Lindy figured as a 70 point center.

I think he continues being Jordan's right-hand man, literally. I like him at center but Staal+Lindy together gives you a solid pair of tied-at-the-hip type forwards that can be deployed in any situation, the same way Brind'Amour and Williams used to operate. Honestly I think being put on Staal's line last year was the best thing that ever happened to Lindy. It's a good dynamic there.
