Would have been a fun draft to have a few 2nd round picks in. Fan bases are going to be convinced they got a 1st round talent with picks from the next few rounds. Time will obviously show that to be false but it will be fun to track. This is one of those drafts where the good scouting departments should make their money.

I didn't watch much of the draft eligible kids this year, but Thomas and Berggren seem like the kind of guys we should be drafting---high skill. Wilde is also an interesting faller. There's a lot of projected 1st round talent still on the board. I wouldn't even mind if they traded back; could still pick up one of those guys and maybe add something between now and our picks in the 4th round.

I always remember how the Habs won the 2012 draft because they got fallers like Bozon, Thrower and the kid I can’t remember out of Windsor.

I just want a guy who is very talented with this pick. We have the Asplund/Davidson types already.

I love stocking up on D but I really do hope we start stocking up on the wings. If we have 2 first rounds next year I would not mind going high calibre wingers.

Enough with the centers and defensemen now.

I’m oddly fascinated that Botterill is 9 picks into his career without taking a player from Canadian major juniors. Will it happen with pick 10? Why am I into this?

11 picks now. I’m riveted, brothers.
