Carolina finished ahead of blues( and they are 7th in the east) 1. Flames 2. Sharks 3. Nashvile 4 jets( with jets sein) 5 blues... isnt that #19? What am i missing ?

I think you may be counting with 30 teams out of habit. There are 31 now.

San Jose looks like they’re going to win 5-2, so the Sharks will move all the way up to 6th (which would correlate with the 26th pick in the NHL Draft). Blues will open the playoffs at 20. The preferable options are for St. Louis and everyone below them to get bounced before the Conference Finals or 4 teams below the Sharks to make the Conference finals (to move up to 22) as preferable options

The Jets have been sneaky terrible for six weeks now. I don't feel all that great about it to be honest.

Fatigue could be a factor for St Louis though. It took a lot of effort to come back from where they were.
