Does anyone know how it is determined which team picks first in the NHL entry draft if 2 or more teams finish with the same record? Head to head record? Point differential? Thanks.

Same as any other tie breaking scenario in the NHL, first tiebreaker is wins, then head to head then goal differential.

From the Post Gazette Penguins report, for those wondering about tie breakers:

'Should the Penguins and Capitals finish with the same point total, the tie-breaking formula would be as follows: First is victories, and the Capitals 23 to the Penguins' 21. Next is head-to-head performance, and the Capitals have a 2-1 edge in the season series. Next is goal differential in overall competition. The Penguins have this one locked up with a differential of minus-115 to the Capitals' minus-75.'

This article did not mention Chicago, and someone said the article was wrong, that the final tie-breaker is goal differential in HEAD TO HEAD competition, though I have no clue if that person was right or the Post Gazette was.
