Once more . . .

a bunch of hotel reservations have been cancelled . . . not the draft itself. In all prior pronouncements on the subject it has been said that the draft would be held, either in June or soon after a new CBA is signed. This article says nothing to contradict that. Maybe the thread title should be altered slightly?

it's like cancelling Christmas. My favorite day of the year is no more. Have to rewatch the 2004 draft and see if I can duplicate my "Blake Wheeler?" moment.

I still think they will try to have a real draft with TV and everything. If the NHL is going to try to bring back interest to the league after the CBA is settled why not put Crosby's face all over TV in his new NHL uniform? Why do it in secret instead?
