Florida wouldn't swap picks just to get Smith. And even at that, Montoya wont be available at #25, no chance in hell.

I like Meszaros to the Nucks, but I think they will be looking at some guys with size, maybe Lyamin or Hedman.

I was thinking it might take a bit more, but Jason Smith is coming off a career year, is the oilers Captain, and would be a good fit for a young FLA team. Maybe if a 2nd round pick(2005) or Rita/Chimera were thrown in they would bite.

As For montoya going so late in the 1st, I tried to take every team's needs into consideration, and most teams drafting from When I predict Schwarz being taken until FLA steps to the podium have sound netminding prospects. The only way i see him being taken sooner is if a team views him as BPA, and can't pass on him.

Like I said, I want to hear people's thoughts, then I will take other poster's input and do a revised 2nd edition closer to the draft day. So keep the feed back coming people!

You rock! :yo:
I would prefer to get Olesz there, but more likely Bryan Murray would select Barker.
Great work!

That's not a bad one. I would love Barker but I think Chicago's gonna make their pick at 3.

Thoughts???

If San Jose wins the Cup, isn't Detroit's pick 29th?

I like Stafford more than Picard...I'm wary of QMJHL guys...

Melanson...Bolduc...We haven't had any luck with QMJHL guys...I'd take Stafford even though our centers are loaded...

Oh I guess Veilleux counts as one successful QMJHL...just don't like the track record of the QMJHL and the Wild...

Bouchard, Melanson, Bolduc, Berzins, they haven't worked out the way we wanted them...Well Bolduc is a project...

Just rather take a NCAA kid next door than another QMJHL project...
