Normally, I would say you'd be okay coming here in April. I certainly hope you don't get to "experience" the weather we had last spring, when it was minus 20 on April 20th. The Fairmont McDonald continues to be the "Grand old lady" of the downtown. Old, but updated. If you get the suite at the top, it will cost you some extra cash, but you can always say you pissed in the same toilet as Queen Elizabeth ll and Mick Jagger.

I will arrive on april 14th. I dont mind cold weather as long as its not in the minuses

Go eat at Woodwork while you are downtown - the art gallery is boss for the city and you can get a fantastically cheap glass of wine there the last time I went for the pour size
