GDT: Down with the Phoenix (Next Game: WHO CARES! WE CLINCHED!)

On paper Dallas is a better team though. It's not outrageous to suggest that. Not playing like a much better team maybe but certainly we are a better team. Dallas clearly has better front-line forwards; Benn and Seguin alone outperform Phoenix's top two scoring lines. Our depth scoring is comparable. I'll say they're a better team then we are on defense, because that's obvious, but it's mostly because of their best defensemen (Yandle and OEL); their depth defensemen aren't any better than ours. Lehtonen and Smith are both insanely good goalies when they're on their game so that's a wash.

We're a better team. They beat us on nothing except front-line defenders. We have better front-line forwards by a mile and everything else is at least a wash if not an edge for the Stars. We're a better team, with a better future, and we're so much more exciting to watch.

The talent is relatively close between the two, it's just they have better talent at D, while our elite talent is at forward.

Now just think though of how good a team could be made from combining Dallas' and Phoenix's rosters: OEL, Yandle, Seguin, Benn, Lehtonen, etc.
