Plus the situation last night was goalie and forward both playing the puck - not in the crease - and whatever incidental contact happened was the natural flow of the play. Forward won the puck; goalie was over committed. Wrap around goal.

How is anything wrong with that?

NHL really needs to clarify its rules and apply them in a consistent fashion. No other sport, including basketball (with all of its calls, several dozen a game) has officiating as random and result changing as the NHL. It's a real black eye for the league.

barclays center is dirt cheap to watch hockey in and i'm insane so **** it i'll subject myself to this again on the 16th

anyway as for hall's penalty i have a feeling he learned a valuable lesson.
They are practically giving away tickets for that game. If you can't get a comp there will be a ton of tickets dirt cheap on the secondary market.

As for the disallowed goal the contact led directly to the goal. You can argue the technicalities of it but the fact is that in that situation they will always waive off the goal. Frankly I think you had a tons bigger gripe over the Hall goal vs us that was wiped out. I still have no idea how they determined he was offsides.

my buddy and i are in the second row of 215 for $26 a pop including stubhub fees. the islanders charge their 41-game ticket holders $29 for the exact same seat.
I will be in 214 with (hopefully if shop.NHL has it's act together) my brand new white JT jersey (he is my favorite player in the entire sport, I just love watching him. His uncle being the greatest player in Bandits history also doesn't hurt). My actual seat is row 11 seat 8 but I'm usually at the top with my friends.

anyway the timing of these epic screwjobs right before this break seriously makes me wonder if it really is a coincidence and bad breaks, or perhaps it's being orchestrated. by who? well, i like to use my imagination.

The ref pointed towards the net and signaled a Palms goal.

Was he the same ref who then changed his mind and waived it off?

For the first time in like five years I messed up and didn't record the game, thinking it was a night game.

Watching the devil's encore was a joke. Who edits that? They skipped devils goals 2-4 and showed all four Islanders goals.

It's my fault for messing up but man that's some pretty poor editing.

Don’t ever expect it to change, not unless the league gets burned in an event that would actually draw some attention and they can be scrutinized for it. I was trying to remember if there was ever a time the team found itself in a situation like this and the 1997 playoffs was the only thing I could think of. 2nd round, against the Rangers, I believe we lost 3 goals in that series because of that obnoxious foot in the crease rule (likely cost them any chance in that series). It had no business being in the game but was still in place the following season. All it took was the cup clinching goal being scored in that fashion for the league to completely brush over it. Shit heads.

Like you said, black eye for the league. There is no rhyme or reason for anything they do. Perfectly fine goals, wiped off the board for no reason. Situations that deserve interpretation, they waste their time interpreting unnecessary bull shit instead. Its really infuriating. Just imagine trying to introduce the sport to a first time observer. It would be impossible to explain the standings let alone the rules of the game. It’s mind boggling how much the game has been screwed around with over the last two decades.

It's MSG. And NJ is NJ, not NY.

Did you expect UNBIASED things?

This loss still pisses me off the most of the previous 4.

Two goal blown lead in about 5 or 6 minutes in the 3rd period. Then we proceeded to to struggle in pandemonium to get out of our end for the final minutes of regulation, even after they tied it and they hit a post and we almost got out of there with 0 points.

And then 2 minutes of a 4 on 3 PP and no goal.

Pierre said this was a good goal and thought the whole reversal was embarrassing.

We should have won this irregardless, but it that is a good goal it most likely changes the entire game.
