I haven't watched Cherry for years, until just now when I couldn't find the remote.

Geezus. Somebody tell Cherry that it's the players who ice the puck, not the linesmen. Evidently, linesmen are responsible for icing, and judges and juries responsible for crimes.

It's like how he always blames the linesmen for not dropping the puck on draws. No don, it's not the linesman wanting to be the star of the show, it's the players trying to cheat on the draw.

Don's jacket tonight was a hella lot nicer looking than those ugly pants Mathews wore before the game.

Did Auston mug a marching band kid to come up with those??

Does anyone notice that Don’s face is a bit asymmetric. Looks like swollen lymph nodes on the left or something. Hope he’s ok.

Noticed that too, maybe he's had a stroke at some point, or goiter on his neck.

As predicted, he got the Canadian players necks for celebrating too hard in the 14-0 game.
Ya and a bit unfair when he said Frost's celebration on the 3rd goal was excessive because it was a 14-0 end result.

And I don’t understand how he complains about celebrations but doesn’t complain about bobby Orr’s Dive celebration

You may want to pay attention to what he says. He complains about the linesmen doing that because, as he has said many times, they will toss a guy out, and then the puck will be dropped immediately on the second one. Why are you holding the puck so long the first time, and why does that not apply once a guy has been thrown out?

His complaint about the linesmen and icing is that the linesmen are rewarding defenders for not making any effort by calling icing even though the puck was right by them. If you can make a play on the puck, but don't, that shouldn't give you an icing, as per the rule book, but linesmen seem to think that doesn't matter.

Maybe you guys should listen more to what he says instead of posting half-truths
