Check out his shot at 0:40 and 1:19.

Doesn't look like a muffin at all. What happened to that shot???

Physically weak player by NHL standards generating weak shot attempts should be no surprise. He crests most goalies when he has time with his in tight wrist shots.

As great as he is he will be that much better if his shot ever becomes a weapon.

This thread is so Leafs-board. Got a 90-100 point superstar who scores 20+ goals a year, and we have a thread talking shit and making fun of him because he's only good at scoring goals and not elite.

It's not underrated. Marner's shot is a muffin. It's accurate which works, but there will never be a goalie that says "I never saw it".

No, but he has an overrated everything else except for his fanciness, he has underrated fanciness; for whatever the f*** that gets the team - it got him 10 mil + though.

A team like Columbus just goes to prove that you don't need to tie up $40M in 4 forwards.

Trade Marner/Willy/AJ and get yourself a stud #1 D.

It bothers me that he is terribly overpaid and over rated. He plays the game with arrogance and thinks that he is and plays like a super star. Playoff hockey eats him up, but all he knows is playing pond hockey. This series will be a wake up call for Dubas to get the best haul he can get for Marner during the off season. Going forward his value will just diminish. Matthew's and Tavares ain't going anywhere, Nylander should be kept for value within the salary cap. Trading Marner should be the only logical move to open up cap space and shake up the team and hopefully getting back what is needed. But will there be a GM foolish enough to take Marner on and give up alot?
