He needs 118 points in 78 games this year = around 1.5 ppg pace. After 4 games he's at 2.5ppg which is not sustainable, but if he stays consistent with real good stretches like he's currently on I see him at around 130 pts this year. Voted yes
McDavid gets better and faster as the year progresses, while most other players get fatigued. That's why come March, April, he always dominates the league.
He had a forced summer of rest and recovery, which imo will result in an even more dominant last quarter of the season.
If he's healthy, and also if Leon is healthy, looking at 135-140 this season
Jesus....McDavid just started in this league. I felt old when I realized Sid and OV were closing in on 800 points. Three more years and McDavid is going to close in on 800 points. What the damn hell?
33 year old Blake Wheeler just scored his 700th point which I'm sure you're well aware of being a Jets fan. It really is incredible what McDavid is accomplishing even with the games he's missed due to injury.
He could make it: 71 points in 47 games! On pace for 123 points this season. So if he does score 52 points in the remaining 35 games, he would be at 494 points. I'm sure he could up the ante for 6 extra points. But, more likely he will reach 500 in early 2020-21.
