Lol now everyone is saying Mackinnon is not good in playoffs.

Yeah, it’s very silly to judge players based on only playoff stats as not all players can play in them every year. There are lots of good players on bad teams.

Eichel is an amazing player and we have no idea what kind of player he would be in the playoffs. Does that mean he’s not in the debate for being a top 5-10 player?

What McDavid did in the regular season this season was much much harder than anything anyone is doing in the playoffs this year.

I think it’s really just a compliment to McDavid as everyone compares their best player to him so deep down everyone knows that 97 is the best.

I dont have to dig very deep to convince myself McDavid is the best player in the world. The others really have to step up to even be in the same conversation.

If MacKinnon is as great as he seems to think he is he has got to go out and win game 6. Great player when his team is out in front and he can put them up 3 or 4 goals. But seems like a petulant child when things aren't going his way.

Always trying to stickhandle through the entire team or force a pass and then pouts when it gets broken up and dogs it on the backcheck. Like you are huge and crazy fast, just dump it in and then go get it, get it back to the D and drive the net. Simple fundamental hockey. VGK has absolutely owned the boards this series and that's why they're up 3-2.

true. They could win the next 2 and come back.. But based on their track record and Mackinnon's performances in his past 7 game 6/7's we would need to see something really out of the ordinary happen. Maybe Grubauer gets hot again and steals 2.
Btw Byram is basically the Bouchard of Colorado. Wtf is up with these coaches playing old veteran Defenseman that's actively hurting the team instead of dressing their talented young D.

You mean like how Mcdavid/Drai put the Oilers on their backs all the way to the ladies tee's? Players get in ruts, MacKinnon has 39 points in 49 games so its not like he is a non factor in the playoffs.

McDrai play on a garbage fire team they have to drag scratching and clawing into the playoffs. Mack is on the presidents trophy winner.

Strange how that rut just happens to be the tail end of the 2nd round every year. Quite a coincidence.

A bulk of the points coming from games his team is already up 2 goals+. Hes not a nom factor, but hes far from a great playoff performer.
