In 2014-15, The Blackhawks had the 2nd highest. (54.08)
In 2015-16, The Penguins had the 4th highest. (53.11)
In 2016-17, The Penguins had the 18th highest. (50.11)

The Kings always are near or at the top of CF% 5v5(within one) standings.

Who just played #15 and #19, respectively, in the conference finals.
And lost.

CF% isn't the best statistic.
It's Fenwick% (5v5, close) or Corsi% (5v5, close).
LA was third.

Advanced stats are only useful 19 times out of 20.

Rangers were 19th in CF%(5v5,close).

What year was the Stanley Cup won by a team in the bottom 3 ?

3-15 OT/SO record is very bad. Seems like Corsi doesn't predict success in Skills competitions like SOs.

LOL.

heh.

:)

As well, they were 22nd in PDO.

And 23rd in Shooting Percentage.

I'd say the Flames were very lucky to make the playoffs.
And they'll be out in the first round.

LOL.

LOL.

Do you have any stats to back up your claim eye tests have served you well ?

LOL.

Indeed.

:) OT too.

5 of the last 7 stanley cup winners were ranked either 1st or 2nd in Corsi For % (5v5, close). When the first or second ranked team didn't win, they beat either a team ranked 1st or 4th.
