It might be he wants a grinder on every line. It could also be he doesnt want to put all 3 skill guys on the same line. Or if the line plays well and he doesnt want to break them up, he wants to put ferland with wallmart svech, not wallmart martinhook.

It might be he really is in over his head and has no f***ing clue what he's doing.

It might be that he is clueless as a coach

Necas isn't contributing squat right now. Zykov was told to hit the ****ing road. Where's this scoring going to materialize from? Lindy and Skinner are on track to outscore the entire ****ing Canes team if not for Ferland.

We were talking about replacing their scoring from the previous season. Not matching their scoring this year. So they need to replace Skinner's 24, and Lindy's 16, and Ryan's 15. If Skinner had 1 goal for the Sabers, that wouldn't mean the Canes effectively replaced Skinner.

And it's still early in the season. Nothing wrong with being perched on the edge of a cliff, but there's still time.

Martinook on the 1st line while Svech rots? Rod is ****ing clueless. Oh, and Maenalanen up while youngsters who actually have a chance of scoring stay down? Management is ****ing clueless too. They deserve each other.

Putting all the offensive talent on a single line makes it really easy to defend. And when this team struggles to score in the first place, it's probably better not to make it more difficult.

But let's face it. They haven't scored an even-strength goal in 3(4?) games. Who's on what line isn't worth worrying about. All that matters is that SOMEONE is putting the puck in the net.

Well splitting up the talent has proven not to work. Putting it all on one line hasn't yet, why not at least try it. Like someone said earlier, no point worrying about secondary scoring when the team has no primary scoring.

There are several number 1 lines in the NHL that are absolutely stacked with the top talent that beg to differ. And they don't all have otherworldly depth behind them.
