I have noticed a discrepancy between the present day Jeff Blashill's voice and the voice he made use of at Western Michigan. Please watch the videos I've embedded:

Present:

2011:

1. The obvious question: Which is the real Blashill and which is the imposter?

2. Did Blashill change his voice consciously to emulate his hero Mike Babcock?

3. Did Blashill have major vocal chord surgery? Has Blashill only recently gone through puberty? Is this part of the process?

Definetly # 2. His voice and his coaching style both seem to emulate Babcock. Hopefully he learned some things last year and becomes the coach I hoped he would be. As a fellow Yooper I'm hoping for success for him like other yoopers Izzo and Marriucci.

So is the purpose of this to discuss Blashill, or to discuss his literal voice?

Because the tone of his voice isn't really a threadworthy topic.
