Speculation: Do some players, like #31, play better without fans?

For the last 5 years or so, the Habs have always started the season strong.

12 and 2 records, 17 and 6 records, 10 and 0 records etc.

They've always been a team hot out the gates because they were tested and outplayed and outworked teams.

It's by game 45-50 where things will fall off due to injuries, lack of talent and the league hitting it's stride.

After 5 months of no hockey, this is kind of like October all over again for the Habs.

Everyone is healthy, everyone is well rested. What's stopping them of going on another great start?

Young fast team, they just might get off to another strong "start".

I mean 19 wins wins you the cup this year.

So if Habs go 19 and 9 in the next few weeks, which would coincide with past starting records, they might just pull it off.

I seriously doubt it, but we can't be too surprised we beat an aging Penguins team. If Habs end up beating the Flyers then really anything can happen.

But I still think the Flyers are the team to beat in the east.

If the kids continue to play well and Gallaher and Tatar start producing, the Habs can continue to surprise.

We'll have to wait and see.

For now let's just enjoy the ride.

#31 plays better when his team allows him to see the puck. It's ridiculous to think Price is affected by fanfare.
Not to mention his 4 trophy year, was in front of fans....

Rest is the key here guys...Fresh and ready. This team still has serious flaws, but when Price gets the proper amount of time off, it seems he is always in the zone.
The travel may also help here, or the lack of travel...

Also the Olympic Games which had the hopes of an entire Nation riding on his ability to win those 1 goal games. People seem to forget Canadian goaltending was often pointed at as a weakness before he took over the #1 spot.
