Dismantling the Blue Jackets
Let's be honest: this isn't a story about building anything! All but seven assets out of 26 were acquired in the last two seasons (three off-seasons). Of those seven, only four were drafted, and only two (Tierney and Nestrasil) are expected to start this season. And despite a fairly strong record of drafting blueliners, none of the blueliners among our top 7 were Columbus draft picks.
I traddd away a ton of picks and prospects to build a perennial contender, and then had to trade away that team for financial reasons, so this is what's left.
