This article mentions Costello was a Leafs' draft pick but he was a Flyers' pick and sent to Toronto in the Darryl Sittler trade. Nonetheless, an odd story:

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/...ers-arrested-for-fighting-at-jack-in-the-box/

The Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot reports that former Ducks forward Jean-Francois Jomphe and former Maple Leafs forward Rich Costello were arrested on suspicion of assault after getting in an altercation with a car full of area youth at a Jack In The Box restaurant.

According to the story, Jomphe and Costello cut in line at the drive-thru ahead of the car full of kids. This might come as a surprise, but alcohol is believed to have played a factor in the incident. But what set them off? A little “sign language miscommunication” if you will.

In case you don’t remember, Jomphe played four seasons in the NHL with Anaheim, Phoenix, and Montreal. Costello was a second-round pick of the Leafs back in 1981 and played just 12 career games with Toronto. Now they’ll be renowned as the guys who got in a fight in a fast food drive-thru.

Didnt see this posted, so I thought I'd share

The room is filled with dementia patients, including a Flyers icon who is in hockey's Hall of Fame, and they are trying to enjoy each other's company during the holiday season.

Keith Allen, the first coach in Flyers history and the general manager of the team's 1974 and 1975 Stanley Cup champions, is pushed ever so gently in his wheelchair so he can greet a handful of visitors at the Sunrise Senior Living facility in Newtown Square.

Joe Piscopo wasn't even famous in 74.
For those of us old enough, it's beautiful. My kids looked at it and said "another statue?" With Dorny and Kate there, it's scarily evident the Flyers haven't had anything statue-worthy for some time.
Side note: Mr. Snider still looked solid driving his Porsche. You'd think at his age and degree of wealth he'd have a driver.

Maybe he can convince the anti-Fred Shero voters in some capacity:

Pat Quinn named new chairman of Hockey Hall of Fame

Hockey Hall of Fame chairman and chief executive officer Bill Hay has announced that he will retire later this year.

Selection committee co-chairman Pat Quinn will take over as chairman while president Jeff Denomme will add CEO duties to his job title, the Hockey Hall of Fame said Thursday in a release. Hay will retire July 31 and the succession appointments will become effective Aug. 1.

Hay was appointed as chairman and CEO in July 1998. He previously spent 17 years on the selection committee and has served 18 years on the board of directors, including the past 15 years as chairman.

Under his leadership, the Hall has strengthened relations with constituents like the IIHF, NHL, NHLPA and Hockey Canada, and has invested over $30 million in capital assets including two major expansion projects.

“I have countless fond memories of my association with the Hockey Hall of Fame over the past 33 years,” said Hay. “It’s been an incredible honour and privilege to serve this iconic institution and to interact with the people that make it so special.

“With today’s appointments, I am confident that the Hall will carry on the outstanding work of preserving and promoting the history of our great game.”

Does anyone know what happened to Rob Zombie directing a movie about the Broad Street Bullies? The project was announced and he came to Philly to scout locations and then the project dissapeared.
