I think I just heard on sportscentre that you can stream today's games on the TSN Mobile app for iPhone? Am I crazy or did they actually say this? I work today so this could be fun.

I've never seen video available with this app - I doubt it has the capability currently. Maybe they meant stay in touch with the app....

They must have a different mobile app out there than I have, because this one has no video capability at all.

I believe my TSN app for my Nokia phone at home does video. Wouldn't susprise me if you can't with the iPhone due to the ongoing Adobe/Apple fued. I'll check my app out tonight and see if it works!

I have done this multiple times and it works great even over 3G! Make sure you got a good data plan though because it will eat up your Megabytes fast!
EDIT: I was using my Iphone 4 by the way.

Its not through the app. You open tsn.ca on your phone and open the streaming link there. I streamed one of canadas games for a couple minutes to test it out and it's pretty cool. Make sure your data plan will cover for this though or go with wifi

I used my Itouch with the TSN app and it worked great. Maybe the TSN app redirects to the TSN link

On the headline tab, there's a banner like this one :

    Just click on the banner

Edit: Just realized it redirects to the TSN site (http://www.tsn.ca/iphone/)

And it opens up in Safari - as I expected. So, browser only. They must be referring to mobile apps on other devices.

Nice to see sites like TSN dumping flash so as to get more streams available for iDevices....

Noice. 6gb of data rules. I generally use 3-4gb a month since I work nights and stream hockey/baseball.

I have the 6gb plan as well and only manage about a gig a month or so... even that goes to useless app downloads..

Have watched a bunch of the games on my iphone. Very good quality. Seems to be about a one minute delay though.

Well, I think the idea is that you can't get that stream open unless you have the app. I don't know if "browser only" is really the right term considering a lot of multimedia seems to need to run within their own programs in iOS... it's really a running Quicktime stream from what I've seen, Safari only opens because the TSN app invokes the link, which launches Safari, which invokes Quicktime.

I heard about this several months ago and hopped on my iPod Touch to try it out. I thought it was pretty clever that they use a Quicktime stream to get around the no-flash thing. I don't know if they were the first to think of that (probably not), but IMO they've integrated it and used it pretty well.

I watched the Swiss game on my blackberry. Pretty solid quality. 3G network for me.
