What do you guys think? Do you believe that Boston lost on purpose to the Sens in the last regular season game so they could play the Leafs in the 1st round for an easy win.

Its no secret that Boston has dominated the Leafs for years now. Was it part of their game plan to throw that game to get the Leafs in the 1st round as they knew they could dominate.

You're sarcastic, but I do blame the Leafs more for allowing this match up rather than Boston losing the last game on purpose. Chance to play a team who you could've been 4 and 1 against on the season (if they had won the last game) in the playoffs if you win, instead you decide to not show up and instead get probably the worst matchup possible for yourselves in the playoffs.

It's the Leafs own damn fault this matchup happened.

Nope.

Ottawa was just more motivated. Win and you get Montreal. Lose and you get Pittsburgh? Yeah. They went 150%.

No, that's too obvious. It was one of the games in the middle of the season that they lost on purpose. Sneaky buggers.

Believe it or not but the Bruins actually respect the Leafs. I read many quotes last night from Lucic and Thornton about how the Leafs gave them all they could handle and how the last two games were really hard fought. There is also no bickering and little girl behaviour with the coaches like the MTL/OTT series. The Bruins are too professional to do something like that and tank a game, I expect them to play Pit in the East final.

Yes we saw the same game that they played. We give any team in the league a tough game. Leafs have nothing to prove to the Bruins. Just to us - the fans.

boston was trying, their goal is to win the stanley cup, to do that winning the division would have helped, their goal was not to win the first round
