When Dez puts up similar numbers in his new home to his last three seasons, are we still going to blame the QB? Good WRs can still be productive with a bad QB, and Dak wasn't even that bad. Dez is just a limited player these days with a lack of explosiveness.

Dak was really that bad last year.

Both Dez and Demaryius Thomas have noticeably declined (Dez more-so) since re starting the WR contract market in 2015, along with AJ Green. All 3 got deals around 70 million/5 years and only Green has lived up to the money.

DT has done fine considering denvers offensive woes and QB trifecta of Siemien, Osweiler and Lynch

DT got his contract picked up, Dez didnt, that should tell you that at least Denver is fine with the deal

Denver has been trying to trade him since last off season. DT has lost a couple steps even taking into account poor QB play.

Dez Bryant‘s reputation in the NFL appears to be preceding him.
Bryant has indicated that he cares more about playing for the right team than making the right money, even suggesting that he cares more about staying in the NFC East so he can play the Cowboys twice than anything else. But there may not be many teams willing to sign Bryant for any amount of money.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that there are “far more” teams unwilling to pay Bryant the league minimum salary than there are teams that would consider signing Bryant for any contract.
That makes it all the more surprising that Bryant turned down an offer from the Ravens, which was reportedly in the neighborhood of the three-year, $21 million contract Baltimore previously gave to receiver Michael Crabtree. If most teams aren’t even willing to pay Bryant $1 million, why turn down an offer of $7 million?
If Bryant is truly willing to play for anything to stay in the NFC East, and Washington, Philadelphia and the New York Giants are all unwilling to offer him even the league minimum, that says a lot about what teams think the 29-year-old Bryant has left at this point in his career.

He can't get open on the outside and lacks the precise route running of a Fitzgerald or Boldin to play in the slot and actually be effective.

Beyond his on field performance, imagine how much of a pain he must be to deal with to have spent as long as he has as a face of the franchise who was never once made a team captain. The biggest tell of all was that Jerry Jones cut him. Jerry Jones will tolerate pretty much anything and will protect his favorite players. If even Jerry Jones is done with you, you can see why other teams aren't lining up to get him.

Who cares if he's never been team captain? He's a WR. Antonio Brown has never been a captain either. You could probably count the WR offensive captains in the NFL last year on one hand.

I don't think he's ever been right since his foot injury a couple of years ago.

To me the problem with Dez isn't his route running is terrible per se...it's that he's not explosive and a lot of his routes deep need to rely on the double move for him to get separation. I actually think he runs good routes over the middle, the problem is that CB's have a tendency to sit on the digs/crossing patterns that he relies on. He also can't catch anymore for some reason.

He can't make contested catches. Which you need to be able to do if you can't separate. I agree on the foot. Foot injuries derail careers. Footwork at WR is important. Antonio Brown gets open because he has great footwork and his release at the LOS. He freezes DB's. It makes up for his lack of explosive acceleration. It's also why a healthy OBJ is nearly unguardable. Elite feet+Elite acceleration and speed.

Surprised he's still unsigned
Teams generally have their rosters set for training camp. They're not looking to hand out big numbers, even if it's just 1 year. And the longer he waits the less time he's going to have to work in whatever offense he has to get acclimated to.

As much as it hurts his ego, the reality is the league clearly doesn't see him as an elite talent any longer. He'll get a job next season, but he's probably going to have to wait for an offseason workout injury or some early cuts in training camp to open up a spot.
