Hughes is back. Bratt never left, and Hamilton seemed to be also "back" last night.

Paging Zacha, Mango, Kuokkanen, and Severson (offensively). I see Zacha is sort of trying to correct this with upping the intensity of his skating/forechecking, but its still not going in.

Overall good 4 line game.

Props to our defensive core for mostly holding the fort long enough to get a win properly!

Boqvist needs to learn to stop that cutback and get the puck deep (goal 1), otherwise I guess we can give him another shot @ 1st line.

and, thanks @glenwo2 for keeping the PGT tradition back in order! Btw, Tatar is gonna get some undeserved votes are we voting that it was good he was out?)

We got some good bounces last night on rebound for goals at least by Bratt and Hughes. Nice to see that. Also nice to see that we took advantage of them and finished. You have to take advantage of the breaks when you get them.

That Bratt goal was super bad angle, glad he snuck that in, same with Hughes although angle slightly better. Good point that we finally got some damn breaks go our way.

Also like how Johnsson is still involved in every game even though he isn’t producing. He is getting his chances and making plays for others. I love his play this season.

I would love to see what Johnsson can do with Nico. I feel that his aggressive play would rub off on Nico and he would show a little more spunk, just like he did when playing with Taylor Hall. I might be judging this poorly but I feel that Nico has taken the same pace and speed of play of Pavel Zacha, which is not ideal to say the least.

I do too want to see those two paired up. Not sure if they ever played on a line together yet.

This. He did it like 3 times or something. Lost the puck every time. If he wants to do that, he needs to gain the zone more before he does it but he kept doing it soon as he crossed the blue line. That's not acceptable.

We were getting smacked around by Ottawa and Philly two weeks ago.

Beating Buffalo is a marked improvement.
Oh cmon man, sure, getting a win against Buff is great but they have the same record as us, no great feat. Lets see how we do this weekend against two totally different but dynamic teams. Having a break where we didn't do anything but rest isn't going to convince me that this team has suddenly changed direction.

Yeah, it's something, but not much of something. If the streak of losing was a mental thing, this has potential to really turn things around. If it's a coaching/personnel thing, we will continue to get blown out against mediocre and good teams while only being competitive against bad ones with the rare, odd exception.

I predicted a loss against Buffalo, but a win against the Flyers and an OT shootout loss against one of Detroit or Vegas and a regulation loss in the other. I picked us to lose to Pittsburgh at home, but to shock them with a win on the road before coming home and losing to Montreal in a dud. Of course the Pittsburgh road game and Montreal home game were cancelled lol.
