Agreed on the forwards. Goose Hischier and Palms were an excellent first line for us for quite a while last season. Seems a no brainer to put them out there. Although I’d swap out the first and second lines. Nico is our 1C.

This looks right to me, but I also wouldn’t mind keeping Hughes and Palms together for a bit. Palms seems to be getting hot, and Hughes has been dishing him some nice feeds.

I’m not calling it one way or the other until Nico is up to speed. We could easily see him break out in a huge way now that Ruff is the coach.

Gusev-Nico-Palms wasn't a line last year. Gusev spent 54% of his time at even strength with Coleman and Zajac. His next closest combo was 15%. Gusev spent less than half a % of his even strength TOI with Nico and Palms. Less than 3 minutes total of 5v5 time together
