He was on the same level as Mueller or Carrick and we know he has more he can give while the other 2 are what they are. Not giving him the 9 games is stupid

I agree but you know that GMs hate to lose assets for free, even if it's something as random as a fourth-line guy like Rooney. And Tennyson outplayed all of them. Another season in the minors and a u20 WJC won't hurt him... GM should trade for a vet D that can handle some top6 minutes.
