Very impressed how Blackwood can get the puck out of play when the team needs it. He did that a few times in Boston as well.

I also like his rebound control, seems like he never leaves it in the slot

What is Vatanen doing on that play? He closes the gap on the player entering the zone, has him on his backhand, and then retreats backwards allowing another Hurricane to come late and be left wide open.

I don't understand how an NHL player can do this constantly. That pass across never happens if Vats doesn't inexplicably retreat off a guy that is literally against the boards at the blueline on his backhand.

What the hell.

Sure, Santini got caught, but he did as good a job getting back as a player can.

That was an interesting period of hockey for sure. Have only tuned in on a couple of games this year. Not really sure what to think. At least Zacha looked like he was there to play, which is nice. PP was awful.
