Who is the better passer on this team?

Bratt or Hughes?
Hughes

Bratt is just able to get in better position to simplify his passing as of now. So instead of Jack trying to fling it across three guys, Jesper will attack the slot and make it through one or two guys

Once Jack gets some confidence and meat on his bones he will do the same

I'm probably not going to explain myself well here, but I'll give it a shot.

I thiiiiiiiiiink Hughes?

Does that sound convincing?

I think Jack has fantastic vision, so that is one thing. I do think it's better than Bratt's, and I believe that is the strength to Bratt's passing game, so that's saying something. He's also more anticipatory than Bratt, I think, so the way his mind works is he sees the play that could be in his head and tries to make that happen. I don't think that Bratt does that in the way that Jack does.

I do, however, think Bratt is capable of driving plays that lead to passes that Jack can't make at this point. Jack can't make that first play that Bratt made tonight, at least not yet, in my opinion. I also think that Bratt may be slightly better at the physical act of passing sometimes. He's maybe better adjusted to the speed and size of the NHL game, and thus he's better at maneuvering the creases and small openings between defenders to make tighter passes. I think that Bratt can make passes that Jack can't quite find yet, but I do think that is largely a byproduct of age / experience in the nhl.

So in theory, I'd say Jack. But there are certainly times in application where Bratt (and Gusev even) can do things Jack can't.

Yeah. I look forward to Jack doing the same as Bratt and simplifying things.

Sure he can make great passes but passing it through 3 guys has a much lower percentage of completion than passing it through 1-2.

Au contraire!

As if you couldn't adore Cory the human any more he goes and hands the jacket to Bratter, who approves.

Remember when Bergfors got 4 points in the first period against the Penguins, and then Lemaire benched him the rest of the game because "I didn't like the way he was playing"? Good times.

I know he netted us Kovy at the end of the day (or helped net him I should say), but I loved Bergfors in his brief time here. He slaughtered the Penguins that year for us.

He was fun to watch, I wish he was able to find a role somewhere else in the league after we dealt him.

I was really surprised he didn't stick. The year we traded him it looked like he had broken out.
