If that's the case they're only looking at the stats, which aren't great cause of his first couple of games and the team frequently playing like a tirefire but this game is a perfect example of how the defense is more a hinderance to the goalie than vice-versa, even with Blackwood giving up two eh goals.

Is it just me or has Halls game changed to mostly staying along the boards . In the offensive zone he never makes a move to the centre of the ice it seems he isnt around the net enough or at all
-2 and invisible in a 6 - 4 win is doing it without the need to bench him.
I have a morbid curiosity as to what he returns for you guys in the trade.
More then we gave up. Guaranteed.
Without an extension as a rental you're looking at a pick and a prospect. the return won't be as impressive as you're hoping. same as it was when we got lars. It sucks but trading hall marks the end of your rebuild. pop a cork, celebrate. The big question is where does he go next year. Whoever it is are instant contenders... to get the first pick at the draft.More then we gave up. Guaranteed.
glad the players earned a victory .. but ..they were fortunate ... capitalized on montreal mistakes.. which isnt all that good a hockey team.. especially with price not masking their warts. tonight MB held the fort ...this kind of game on most nights earns you a loss .. will enjoy the victory for now..a few guys played very well tonight:
gusev
severson
coleman
simmonds
subban wasn't a complete crap show.
hughes was solid
once again hall has an opportunity to make it a two goal lead in third and cannot capitalize.. if today were the trade deadline.. this guys wouldn't fetch what we think.... he didn't play bad but if this is the taylor hall from now on its. not someone you wanna spend more than about 8 million per on .. if that.. but enough negativity .. nice win moving on ..
At this point, if we could get a young, physical defender on a good contract who could actually defend without being grenade handler, that wouldn't be a bad deal.
Hall is following in Parise's footsteps - curse of the #9? He plays like Parise did after his injury year too - playing way too safe and trying to limp through the last year of his contract to not get hurt and ruin his free agency value.

Yeah I'd rather not completely tank Hall's value.
