Yeah I hope MBW just plays his game, seems he's matured a lot in recent years.

He's very athletic and plays calm and cool most of the time. So long as the mental fortitude holds up I feel like he's got the goods to be successful.

I would have Bastian little bit higher but otherwise I agree with your ranking.

When do we start annual the prospect poll? After the free agent frenzy I presume.

At this point, I guess we let the free agent frenzy subside before the prospect poll starts up. Regardless, I'm excited as hell to see what these kids can do. It's amazing how Shero/Castron restocked NJ's propect pool. Would love to see Castron out at a bar one night and buy him a beer.

I've said this a bunch -- Zacha is the perfect pairing with Hughes for LW on the second line. His acuity defensively and in the face-off circle can take a ton of pressure off the rookie. Hughes can play like a winger and Zacha a center in the defensive zone, then they can flip responsibilities on the attack. In the offensive zone, Zacha's terrific shot and ability to bull the crease will certainly be utilized by Hughes -- the kid's got simply elite vision. In my mind, there's no reason why Zacha cannot score 25-30 goals playing on the left flank with Hughes.
I wish I could 'like' this post again.

I also wish I could tattoo it on the back of Hynes' eyelids as it's what I've been going on about for a while.

Even if they sign another winger (sans bread), I highly doubt Zacha won't be given a fair shot on Hughes' line.

Boqvist is the wild card. I'm guessing he starts the season in the AHL, but any injury to a top-6 F on the Devils could vault him into a major role with the team -- his talent and skill and speed are undeniable.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am under the impression he stated that if he doesn't make the big club then he's heading back to the SHL.

This will be Zacha’s biggest leap in development offensively in his pro career. His meshing with Hughes will be a large part in this but it was also coming itself.
